Glaucus Hooks are named after the fisherman who became a sea god, and built from the hook box of a captain who out-fished everyone on the boat.

The legend
In Greek myth, Glaucus was a mortal fisherman. One day he found a magic herb that brought his catch back to life. He ate it himself, felt the pull of the ocean and leapt in. The sea gods gave him a fish's tail, and he became the protector of fishermen and sailors.

Captain Rob's hook box
Captain Rob is a lifelong friend and a lifelong angler. We've fished with him from the Florida Keys to Cape Hatteras and Cape Cod. One thing always stood out: Rob matched his hook to the bite. He switched between circles, octopus, eagle beaks, sport circles and O'Shaughnessys, and he out-fished everyone on the boat.

The Lawless Series
We built the Lawless Series from that hook box. Five shapes, every size from #3 to 6/0, all in high-carbon steel with super strong penetrating power. Our motto says it: Feel the Power.

Made by anglers in St. Pete
Glaucus Fishing Products is based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Our hooks are tested on real fish, from Tampa Bay snapper and snook to New York salmon and Maine stripers.
